What My Students Say

I’ve had the privilege and joy of being Kt’s student for the past year. I’ve never had a teacher with more technique and talent than Kt. I say TECHNIQUE because she knows the classic, foundational asanas as well as limitless adaptations to help you find your best experience of yourself in your body. I say TALENT to capture Kt’s special nuance of voice, music and pacing that is both clear and non-intrusive, making room for you to have your own physical, emotional and spiritual experience. Besides that, she’s fun, funny and just downright congenial!

When it comes to meditation, Kt understands the mind and can lead a guided meditation like nobody’s business. I’ve had very moving personal experiences in her meditation classes and have several friends who could say the same.

Kathy Snyder

Kt’s yoga classes are amazing! She is a well-trained, knowledgeable, personable, helpful instructor. After class , I am more flexible. She gives good instructions for deep breathing , which is calming. Likewise, I enjoy her meditation classes, which for me are a tremendous stress relief.

Marie Kainer

Besides being interested in yoga, Kt is interested in people. She teaches with compassion, understanding, and encouragement as well as with a great deal of knowledge.

Nancy Colby

My husband has a number of issues and anyone of them can cause severe pain. In working with Kt, he has learned to use breathing with the onset of pain to be more in control and it has helped him think more clearly as to the next step. His doctor also feels that the various types of breathing he has learned with Kt are beneficial.

For the last year I have participated in Kt’s chair yoga classes several times a week. She is a joyful, caring and serious yoga instructor. She is constantly learning, offering insights and deepening the practice. She cares deeply about the participants, watching and offering alternatives for the various positions to allow us to practice at a level that matches our physical conditions. I broke my first 5 thoracic vertebrae in an accident 11 years ago, and since then 3 more have broken, each time with everyday activities. I am told that I am at risk for breakage all the way down my spine, and thus am limited in activities, lifting, twisting etc. I feel safe in Kt’s classes and find that the regular yoga helps me maintain my posture, eases my muscles, adds some strength, and relieves pain. The pace, the mindfulness practices, breathing, and focus keep me in touch with my physical responses, how far I can stretch and make progress, and when to hold or shift. I highly recommend working with Kt as a joyful, engaging and helpful practice.

Cheryl Alexander Stearns

She is a fabulous instructor. I have had many yoga teachers and she stands out as one of the best. She is organized, thoughtful in her planning, and clear in her instructions. She explains each position clearly and helps individuals with positions. Kt enjoys what she is doing and expresses that joy throughout the time. She laughs and makes the time fun.

Carol Schoenecker

I am a senior citizen, and in the earlier part of my life I had never been in any organized form of yoga or meditation regimens. I have now been in a variety of Kt’s classes for almost two years, both in regular class, and with her as she directed classes in the “Memory Care Unit” where my wife was a resident.

Kt’s presentations are always well organized and accessible for all different levels and abilities. The demeanor of the classes can sometimes be serious, but when appropriate, some hilarity arises, making the classes even more enjoyable. When it is yoga, I have comfort in knowing that my body and mind is being improved. With meditation, my mind is both calmed and soothed.

I feel that Kt has patience with us, and truly cares about everyone that she is helping. Her encouragement makes me want to finish each and every routine. I feel like we are one big happy family.
